Awarded Professor of the Year in 2014, Adam has been at UNLV for more than 20 years, teaching Strategic Management, Cost Control, Purchasing, Hospitality Services, Leadership Management & Ethics, Beers, New World Wine, Old World Wine and Spirits. Founder of the Maitre-D Association and knighted in Belgium for his work in education, Adam was Steve Wynn’s first-ever Hotel Sommelier, Director of Restaurants at the Mirage. As owner and operator of the Freakin’ Frog, the largest beer bar in the country with over 2,000 different beers, Adam was instrumental in starting the craft beer craze in Las Vegas. Adam is also founder and curator of the Whisky Attic, the largest Whisky bar in the USA and now a unique stand-alone educational facility just off the Vegas strip teaching professional tasting. A lead judge in the International Whisky Competition and a beer expert on Jon Taffer’s Bar Rescue, Adam is always in demand as speaker and consultant.
